Growing up in Blue Ridge, Philip Milam learned early what conservative values look like in practice.  He watched his father, Judge Bobby Milam, faithfully serve the people of north Georgia — as the first Superior Court Judge to serve the Appalachian Judicial Circuit — instilling in Philip a deep respect for duty, fairness and community.

A north Georgia native, Philip graduated from Fannin High School ('77), undergrad at UGA, and earned his post graduate degree (M. Ed.) at North Georgia College in Dahlonega.

He then spent a decade in law enforcement both as a POST certified probation officer and later as a prosecutor—serving Dawson and Hall counties.

For 30+ years Philip Milam has ran a successful business, and been a local attorney.

He and his wife, Lisa, live in Ellijay, where they are active members of Autumn Ridge Community Church. They have four adult children and are looking forward to being first time grandparents in July.

Philip also served on the board of the Gilmer Chamber of Commerce until recently.

Strong rural schools are essential to strong rural communities.

Every student should graduate high school either enrolled, employed, or enlisted.

Put parents and children first by supporting school choice.

Equip and Support educators who serve on the frontlines.

Increase childhood literacy to strengthen long-term economic opportunity.

Encourage & expand trades and career tech path (CTAE) to teach life skills needed that support north Georgia’s workforce and rural industries.

NORTH GEORGIA PRIORITIES

Stand up for North Georgia farmers and agribusiness. Agriculture has long been Georgia’s #1 industry, and in our region apple houses, orchards, wineries, poultry farms, livestock operations, and the businesses that support them are the backbone of our local economy. I will fight to keep these industries strong for decades to come.

Defend Second Amendment rights for U.S. Citizens.

Protect the unborn and support the Personhood Amendment.

Support President Trumps plan to immediately DEPORT illegal aliens.

Support our local Sheriffs, Troopers, and Police Chiefs. Ensure they are provided support and resources to keep our families safe.

Stand President Trump and support the presidents Make America Great Again agenda.

Support Election Integrity and Ballot Security measures - I proudly supported and voted for President TRUMP all three times he was elected.

Support America First / Georgia First policies in the Georgia legislature.
